Once the project need has been identified, we will develop a draft scope of services and send these to candidate specialist firms. We will look at the fee quotes and interrogate whether they are allocating the right resources for the fee proposed, we don’t want to discover that the project is handed to junior staff and there is not enough built in for senior supervision. Sometimes it is worth engaging multi-disciplinary firms as this can facilitate communications between specialists and also reduces the chances of different consultants blaming the other for delays or errors. We have worked with global firms (see Rutland Gate and Grosvenor Place) and small niche players (Battersea Reach) depending on the size and complexity of the project.
